LEARN MOREWHAT IS SED?

Gender is a conversation, not an expectation.

Talking to your child about gender at a young age promotes identity, equality and respect for themselves and others.

Children need to feel confident about who they are, what they are interested in, and can miss out on important experiences when their play is limited by gender expectations. Talk with your child about gender equality from an early age, model positive attitudes and acceptance of gender differences, encourage respect and accept how they wish to identify. Gender is fluid in the early years, but gender stereotypes can last a lifetime.
